Saturday 10th November 2018 - A talk with slides on Wildflower Meadows by Dr. Wolfgang Schaefer. In addition to his lifelong passion for gardening, Dr. Schaefer, who gardens at Cwm Weeg, Dolfor, has also taken a wide-ranging interest in natural history and wildlife, not least as local recorder for beetles (Coleoptera). In his November talk on "Wildflowers and Wildflower meadows" he will give an introduction to the origins of meadow plant communities and will give detailed hints on how to establish wildflowers in your own gardens, great or small.

Friday 7th December 2018 - 12 noon for 12.30. Christmas lunch at the Lakeside Golf Course Restaurant, Garthmyl.


Saturday 12th January 2019 - Mistletoe: Fact, Myth and Legend, a talk with slides by Mike Jones.

Saturday 9th February 2019 - Orchids of Wales, a talk with slides by Sue Parker of First-Nature. Sue will be signing her excellent book on Orchids, bring funds if you wish to buy- highly recommended.

Saturday 9th March 2019 - MFS AGM followed by a talk, members slides or other entertainment to be arranged.
